Before joining The Manor House in Wiltshire, Richard worked for one year at the Sawyards Restaurant in Storrington, where he achieved his first Michelin star within five months, shortly followed by recognition from Egon Ronay.

Richard’s no stranger to Michelin-starred restaurants having also spent one year at the two-Michelin-starred The Vineyard at Stockcross in Newbury, in addition to three years at the three-Michelin-starred restaurant, Gordon Ramsay, where Richard worked his way up from demi-chef to chef de partie.

His earlier experience included working at Homewood Park Hotel in Bath, Canoe Bay in Wisconsin, Celtic Manor Hotel in Newport and The Great House Hotel and Restaurant.

Richard Davies and his team at the award-winning Bybrook restaurant won their first Michelin star in January 2009 and have retained it each year since.
